VICTORIA - Concerned citizens from Salt Spring Island and across Vancouver Island rallied on the legislature lawn against recent healthcare cuts. The event, spurred by the Save Our Surgery group on Salt Spring, gave voice to citizens' dismay at the Vancouver Island Health Authority's recently announced cost-cutting measures aimed at mopping up their $45 million shortfall.
